Welcome to Varina Elementary School, and thank you for visiting our school website. Varina Elementary serves students in third through fifth grades. I have faithfully and happily served the Varina community as the principal for 17 years. In partnership with the Varina community, staff and I take pride in the social, emotional and academic development of our students. For the 2022-2023 school year our top priority is to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for our staff and students.
We are so excited for all the amazing things that will happen this year at Varina. Our theme for this year is “GLOW Crazy for Learning”. There will be lots of fun activities surrounding our theme. Our student expectations are based upon S.O.A.R.

Varina’s staff is passionate about developing a student’s academic achievement, physical fitness, awareness of civic duty, and appreciation for diverse cultures. We believe that our school is a learning community, which prepares students to be lifelong learners and positive contributors in society.
Varina continues to maintain a strong PTA and I ask that each of our family members support them by becoming a member. As principal, I am truly honored and thankful every day.
